Meghan Markle went for sleek, quiet luxury styling among the high-profile guests who attended the Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday in West Hollywood, Calif.
For the special occasion, which included several celebrity guests, including Markle’s close friend Serena Williams, the Duchess of Sussex opted for subdued elegance in a long-sleeve black turtleneck and a coordinating high-waisted skirt.

The turtleneck, a staple, versatile piece of an autumn wardrobe, featured a fitted silhouette that accentuated Markle’s frame. The As Ever founder and “With Love, Meghan” host’s skirt added further dimension, featuring gathered fabric and a thigh-high slit.
As for her accessories, Markle favored pieces by Aquazzura, including a pair of strappy black sandal heels along with a pair of gold chain statement earrings. For glam, Markle favored the slicked back hair style, another nod to 2025 fall trends.

Markle’s Baby2Baby Gala look is a true return to form for the Duchess of Sussex’s approach to style and fashion post-royal life. Over the last several years, the As Ever founder has gravitated towards quiet luxury designers and contemporary pieces from the likes of Ralph Lauren, Guiliva Heritage, Heidi Merrick, Balenciaga and more.
The latter designer, under the creative direction of Pierpaolo Piccioli, is one Markle chose to wear for the Spanish luxury fashion house’s spring 2026 show during Paris Fashion Week in early October. Not dissimilar from her Baby2Baby Gala look, Markle’s bespoke Balenciaga statement pieces included a white flowing suited look, complete with billowing, wide-leg trousers, a simple button-down and a flowing cape.

She later changed into a sleek black dress with a column silhouette and sleeveless design with a similar cape motif. Elements of Markle’s Baby2Baby Gala look certainly echoed the design details of her Balenciaga bespoke black dress.
The Baby2Baby Gala is an annual fundraising event that supports the aforementioned organization, founded by Kelly Sawyer Patricof and Norah Weinstein. The Los Angeles-based nonprofit supports children struggling in poverty by ensuring necessary items like diapers, clothing and formula are readily available.
