Manoj Bajpayee, Priyamani, Jaideep Ahlawat, Nimrat Kaur, Shraib Hashmi, directors Raj-DK, Suman Kumar, Tusshar Seyth, writer Sumit Arora, Nikhil Madhok of Amazon Prime Video and many others attended the trailer launch of the highly awaited web series, The Family Man Season 3, at a five-star hotel in Mumbai. The team of the film raised laughs as they spoke about the show and a lot more.

A journalist asked an interesting question on whether there can be a prequel to The Family Man to show the origins of Manoj Bajpayee’s character, Srikant Tiwari. Manoj joked, “Only VFX can make me that young!”
It led to laughter in the hall. Krishna DK, however, disagreed, “The way Manoj is ageing, I am waiting for him to play a 5-year-younger Srikant!” Raj Nidimoru said, “Manoj is on a very strict regimen, like a biohacking anti-ageing regimen! He’s going to age backwards. Priyamani is already there. So, we’ll slowly go back and make a prequel.” He added, “Manoj won’t let us cast another actor.”
Manoj complimented the journalist, “That’s a good idea. You have just given them an idea to make a show without me!”
On a serious note, Raj Nidimoru revealed, “One of the ideas we had while creating The Family Man was not to have a flashback. There’s no backstory of Srikanth Tiwari. There was a conscious choice not to even go there because you have seen it all before. So, (we) wanted a format where…you discover the man and his family as you go on his journey with the series than cutting back to show how, what, and when.”
At another point, Manoj Bajpayee was asked about his daughter Ava Nayla’s reaction to the show. He said, “She’s a big fan of The Family Man and she’s a bigger fan of Sharib Hashmi than me!”
Sharib Hashmi, who plays JK in the show, couldn’t stop laughing. At this point, Jaideep Ahlawat asked him to share a fun trivia about his daughter, which has a connection to The Family Man.
Manoj Bajpayee then narrated, “After my daughter saw the first season, I asked her, ‘How did you like it?’. She said, ‘It’s very good, papa’. She didn’t say anything else and didn’t acknowledge the fact that I was the ‘family man’ in the show. One day later, she suddenly shouted, ‘Papa, papa, come here’. I ran towards the gate; that’s where she was standing. She said, ‘JK is here, Papa. JK is here’ (laughs)!”
The Family Man Season 3 releases on Amazon Prime Video on November 21.
