Clarks is continuing its streak of collaborations with Topologie, a brand inspired by rock-climbing gear.

The collection, launching Thursday, brings together outdoor functionality and contemporary urban wear by melding the heritage craftsmanship of Clarks with the climbing-influenced look of Topologie. The brands turned to Clarks’ Torhill Hi style — an ankle boot known for its striking ribbed sole — as a site of reinvention for the collaboration.
The refreshed style, presented in exclusive packaging, makes a statement with interchangeable laces that enable wearers to adapt the style throughout the day according to the needs of the moment. The shoe is intended to move with the wearer through different circumstances, be it scaling a rock face or traversing through an urban landscape.

The collaborative Torhill Hi merges classic design with a clean silhouette featuring gentle curves and climbing-inspired elements. The signature sole of the Torhill is maintained, referencing the Clarks archives. Meanwhile, hiking-inspired laces and heel pulls bring Topologie’s sensibility to the fore. Marrying heritage craft and contemporary utilitarian fashion, cobranded logo fobs round out the set.
The Topologie x Clarks Torhill Hi is crafted with a premium black suede upper; a supportive Moulded Contour Cushion footbed; a technical ghillie lacing system offering a secure, custom fit and a hiking-inspired aesthetic; a lateral/medial heel pull helping create a simple on-off process; a co-branded heel counter improving durability; a flexible thermoplastic rubber sole providing underfoot traction, and three sets of shoelaces and two cobranded fobs. The collection can be shopped starting Thursday at Topologie’s Hysan Place store, K11 Art Mall store and topologie.com.

This year, Clarks celebrates 200 years since two brothers founded the brand in 1825 in Street, Somerset, a small English town. The brand has announced many collaborations amid this milestone year; Post Archive Faction reinterpreted the Wallabee; Sandro reimagined the Wallabee and the Desert Boot; and designer Nicholas Daley focused on the Wallabee as well for his partnership. Not to mention, Ronnie Fieg has subtly teased a Kith x Adidas x Clarks Wallabee featuring the midsole of the Adidas Ultraboost.
