The North Face Has Dropped a Collection of Puffer Footwear Including Boots, Mules and More

The North Face is bringing the warmth of its Nuptse jackets to a new footwear collection.

Five different silhouettes feature insulation much like puffer jackets to form The North Face’s Basecamp collection. While different forms of insulation are inspired by the Nuptse line, both the name and the utilitarian approach of the collection are informed by the Basecamp duffle, which will turn 40 years old in 2026.

The most robust of the lineup is the Base Camp WP 200, a waterproof boot with 50/50 insulation, EVA shell upper, seam seals and Vibram outsole.

Thermoball insulation is used for both the Base Camp WP mule and Base Camp Thermoball mule, the former of which is fully waterproof with an EVA shell upper and seam shells. The two mules also share a Vibram XS Trek outsole, and the latter model is water-repellent with a fully recycled upper.

The Nuptse traction chukka serves as a mid-height boot with 700 fill down, and the same insulation is used for the taller Nuptse traction bootie.

All five silhouettes from The North Face’s Basecamp collection are out now on The North Face’s website and stores, with prices ranging from $100 for the Thermoball mule to $200 for the WP 200.
