Reneé Rapp repped CFDA chairman Thom Browne at the 2025 CFDA Awards in New York City on Monday with a formal ensemble including an eye-catching layered footwear look.

Rapp’s black and white suit look was grounded by a pair of black sparkling slingback pumps and sheer thigh-high stockings bearing some Thom Browne signatures. The red, white and blue striped motif of the brand was applied to the sole and a dainty bow; a heel with a dramatically sculpted shape helped to announce the label as well. A pointed toe sharpened the set and a bow was affixed where two slender straps met in back. The thigh-high stockings, meanwhile, bore Thom Browne’s quadruple stripe design in black. The set also had a midnight shimmer with crystals embellishing the vamp.

Rapp paired the shoes and stockings with a black pleated miniskirt, a jacket with tails and a tie knotted around a white collared shirt. A shiny cummerbund was featured at the waist as well.
The musician and actress wasn’t the only attendee at the CFDA Awards wearing black slingback pumps — Venus Williams donned a pair to go with a black velvet Ronny Kobo dress with crystal embellishments.
