Bollywood couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza are experiencing a sentimental milestone as their elder son, Riaan Deshmukh, took his first flight without his parents accompanying him. According to the report by the Times of India, the proud parents became emotional as they saw Riaan stepping into a new chapter of independence.

Genelia shared a post on her Instagram Stories capturing a moment at the airport with Riteish, their younger son Rahyl, and themselves bidding farewell to Riaan. In her message, she wrote, “First flight without us. It was always about firsts with us, slowly getting used to the firsts without us…Go live little ones, grow, experience life – Aai/ Baba/ Rahyo/ Flash will be waiting at home for you.”
The couple has previously celebrated key family occasions together, and the article also highlights snippets from their recent Diwali & Padwa celebrations. Riteish posted clips of the family performing traditional rituals applying milk, uptan and oil to the children, making rangoli, and Genelia doing aarti for their sons.
In addition, those celebrations included a handwritten note from the boys to their father that read, “Hi baba, I know you are working hard for us. Today is Diwali but I hope the light reaches you. The Diwali lunch will never be the same without you. Have a great day at shoot.” Overwhelmed, Riteish shared it on his Instagram Stories, adding: “Aur jeene ko kya chahiye!!! Shooting for @rajashivaji is special but receiving letter from boys makes it everlasting.”
