Danny Masterson’s estranged wife, Bijou Phillips, filed to remove the actor’s surname from their 11-year-old daughter’s name.
The model, who filed for divorce from the actor in September 2023 after he was convicted of rape, requested her daughter’s name be changed from Fianna Francis Masterson to Fianna Francis Phillips, TMZ reported Friday.
Reps for the exes weren’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.
Masterson, 49, and Phillips, 45, tied the knot in October 2011 and welcomed Fianna Francis in 2014.
Phillips notably stayed by her ex’s side when he was accused and found guilty of two separate 2003 rape incidents in May 2023.
The actress was often photographed holding hands with the “That ’70s Show” alum outside of court.
She also penned a letter to the judge ahead of his sentencing, describing him as an “amazing father.”
Phillips described Masterson’s relationship with Fianna Francis as “inseparable.”
Masterson, who has maintained his innocence, was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison at the North Kern State Prison in Delano, Calif., in September 2023.
At the time, Phillips reportedly “[couldn’t] accept” that Masterson was responsible for the rape crimes, with an insider telling the Daily Mail, “Danny is adamant he did nothing wrong and Bijou believes him.”
The insider alleged that the “Raising Hope” star was committed to staying by Masterson’s “side moving forward.”
Phillips, however, decided to pull the plug on her marriage with Masterson shortly after the sentencing.
Insiders previously told the Daily Mail that Phillips’ friends and family have encouraged her to separate from Masterson to show her daughter that “eventually people need to be held accountable for what they do, even if it is someone they love.”
“Bijou also is doing it to protect her assets and protect her future. She doesn’t want to lose money and land and housing over a future civil lawsuit against Danny,” the source claimed.
Phillips confirmed she had moved on when she stepped out with beau, Jamie Mazur, in June 2024.
