Every year after Diwali, streets in Hyderabad and parts of Telangana come alive with the Sadar Sammelan festival — also called Dunnapothula Panduga. Participants dance on buffaloes, parade them through cheering crowds, and celebrate an animal that is central to their livelihoods and devotion to Lord Krishna.
