As Diwali lit up homes across India, Bollywood celebrities offered fans a window into their own celebrations. Actors like Kareena Kapoor, Ananya Panday and Suhana Khan posted photos and messages that showcased how the festival brought them together with loved ones.
Kareena chose to celebrate the occasion in the company of her sons, Taimur and Jeh, while her husband Saif Ali Khan looked for a book in the children’s play area. Sharing her festive mood online, Kareena posted, “This Diwali was in the kids’ club. Cause never lose the child in you, my friends. Love and light everyone. Stay blessed (sic). ”
Suhana Khan posted a series of snapshots titled “Diwali Dump.” The collection included pictures of Suhana enjoying matcha tea by the festive lights and her friends Ananya Panday and Navya Nanda in colourful traditional lehengas.
Ananya Panday also gave her followers another look at her Diwali, posting more images that highlighted her festive attire and group celebrations.
Earlier, Varun Dhawan shared a photo with his daughter, Lara, on Instagram. In the now-deleted photo, Varun was seen holding Lara close against a backdrop of Diwali decorations including flowers, lamps, and idols for Laxmi Puja. He extended his wishes to followers with the caption, “Aapko Diwali ki dher saari shubhkaamnayein (Loads of wishes to you on Diwali).”
The post from Varun was quickly removed from his social media, sparking curiosity among fans about the reason for its deletion. Varun welcomed his daughter Lara with wife Natasha Dalal in June 2024, adding a new dimension to his family celebrations this year.
Several South actors too, shared photos from their Diwali celebration on social media. While Allu Arjun’s family snapshots charmed fans online, Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi marked their first Diwali as parents. Trisha Krishnan shared her heartfelt wishes, and Yash’s festive post with his wife and children lit up social media.
