The Punjabi music industry is still mourning the untimely loss of one of its brightest singers, Rajvir Jawanda, who unexpectedly passed away on October 8, 2025, after a tragic road accident. Rajvir was known for his soulful voice and humble personality. For the unversed, the singer was travelling towards Shimla on his bike, when he lost balance and met with an accident. He fought for his life for 11 days in the hospital, before he died. Recently, his close friend, Ammy Virk penned a heartfelt note for him.

On October 17, 2025, Punjabi singer, Harf Cheema and Ammy Virk shared a joint post on their Instagram. In the post, they shared photos from Rajvir Jawanda’s prayer meet, which was attended by several people. In the photos, which were shared, Rajvir Jawanda’s portrait was decorated with flowers and everyone paid tribute to him. Along with it, Harf Cheema and Ammy Virk penned a heartfelt message for the late singer in Punjabi. The note can be read as:
“Goodbye friend. Different dress 6 feet tall, curly in hand and khusa on foot. Took so many prayers. How much love has taken? People’s pride is gone, our best friend is gone.”
What happened to Rajvir Jawanda?
It all happened on September 27, 2025, when Rajvir Jawanda was riding his motorcycle toward Shimla with his friends when he met with a serious crash near Baddi. While initial reports suggested that the singer lost balance of his bike and got hurt, it was later revealed by an eyewitness that he was about to collide with stray cattles and in order to avoid it, he lost balance. After the accident, Rajvir was provided immediate help and then taken to Fortis Hospital in Mohali.
For 11 days, Rajvir was given the best medical service. He was on life support and was constantly monitored by neurosurgery teams. But maybe God had different plans for him. While Rajvir was in a life-and-death situation, his wife shared that she had asked the singer to not go, but he didn’t listen and went for it.
