What Britney Spears and Kevin Federline’s teenage sons think of dad’s bombshell memoir

Kevin Federline’s sons don’t hold his memoir against him.

Britney Spears’ ex-husband insisted to “Extra” that Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, “approve” of him releasing his bombshell tell-all, “You Thought You Knew,” about their mom.

“My kids are old enough to understand and approve what I’m doing,” the former backup dancer, 47, told the outlet Thursday while defending the controversial release.

“I don’t want my kids living their lives and having to explain who I am,” he explained. “I say that in the book — I don’t want them talking about things that they didn’t live through or can’t remember.”

Federline added, “Everyone deserves to have a voice … especially after you’ve had so much [time] to reflect on it with compassion and understanding.

“Over the last two decades, my story has been told through a different lens and I felt it was important for me to finally come out and tell my story,” he continued.

Federline’s memoir, out Oct. 21, has made rampant headlines for its description of his short-lived marriage to Spears — and the singer’s parenting.

The former couple wed in October 2004, welcoming Sean Preston and Jayden in September 2005 and 2006, respectively.

Spears filed for divorce when her youngest was an infant, and the union legally ended in July 2007.

Federline claims their relationship collapsed when he walked in on Spears “snorting a fat line of coke” in November 2006 — and she allegedly threw a drink in his face when he subsequently demanded she not breastfeed their sons.

He alleges that their romance was “never the same after” the Princess of Pop allegedly “slapped” him in the face during a “rampage.”

Federline’s other bombshell claims include Spears allegedly punching their eldest child, forcing their youngest to bathe with her and wishing them both dead.

While Spears’ rep has not addressed each claim directly, the spokesperson hit back at Federline Wednesday for “profiting off” his ex-wife.

The following day, she wrote, “If you really love someone then you don’t help them by humiliating them.”

The Grammy winner, for her part, blasted the memoir that same day as a book of “white lies.”

On Thursday, she railed against the “scary” way Federline “cries” in his “convincing” interviews, tweeting that his behavior “blows [her] mind.”

The “Crossroads” star noted, “If you really love someone then you don’t help them by humiliating them.”
