Kevin Federline details how much money he got in Britney Spears divorce

Kevin Federline is laying out exactly how much and how he spent the money he received in his divorce from Britney Spears.

Federline — who was married to the Princess of Pop from September 2004 until she filed for divorce in November 2006 — writes about the financial details of their split in his forthcoming memoir, “You Thought You Knew.”

According to the former backup dancer, he was awarded $20,000 per month in child support for their two sons — Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19 — and another $20,000 per month in alimony for half the duration of their 26-month marriage.

While he does mention a settlement, he does not disclose the amount. However, it was previously reported to be in the $1-1.3 million range.

He recalls his lawyer advising him to take a million dollars from the divorce settlement and “put it somewhere safe where it can grow,” but he didn’t think he needed to “worry about that” because he would “make another million in no time.”

The 47-year-old claims he was not “financially set” following the breakup because “the money didn’t stretch as far as you’d think.” He cites rent, transportation, security, childcare “and all the other day-to-day needs of raising two kids in LA.”

Contrary to the longstanding narrative, Federline — who signed a “pretty standard” prenup with Spears, though he admittedly didn’t think they needed one — claims he “wasn’t some bum just sitting around waiting for a check.”

He insists he “was out there hustling, grinding, investing [and] working.” That work included starring in commercials, hosting events, making appearances and going to high-profile parties, according to the father of six.

Spears, 43, issued a scathing statement as excerpts from the tell-all have started to emerge.

“With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again, he and others are profiting off her,” her rep told Page Six.

“Sadly, it comes after child support has ended with Kevin,” the rep noted.

Federline — who makes some disturbing allegations against the singer in his new book — received his last payment from the singer in November 2024 after their youngest turned 18.

According to Spears’ rep, “all she cares about are her kids … and their well-being during this sensationalism.”

The Grammy winner herself went on to slam Federline on Instagram for “gaslighting” and “hurting” her with his “white lies.”
