After wrapping up its first week at Rs 337 crore, ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ has now entered its third weekend. The film has been unstoppable in all markets, and stands at an impressive Rs 476.4 crore nett after its 14-day run.
The Rishab Shetty-directorial collected around Rs 10.5 crore on Wednesday, which is the lowest it has earned in a single day. However, with the weekend ahead, the film is expected to go back to collecting in the range of Rs 20 crore.

Directed and written by Shetty, the film has already collected over Rs 150 crore in Hindi alone, and its Karnataka version also stands at Rs 149.95 crore. The film has earned Rs 80.8 crore nett in Telugu, and Rs 48.65 crore in Tamil Nadu.
With the Diwali weekend ahead, it is expected to continue its winning run in the coming days ahead. It will be interesting to see how the new festive releases manage to attract the audiences with ‘Kantara 2’ still playing in theatres, especially in the North market, where ‘Thamma’ and ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ will be clashing with the mythological action drama.
