Actor and entrepreneur Dino Morea recently joined Abhay Deol and comedian Rohan Joshi on the Durex podcast, where the trio engaged in an open discussion about how adult content shapes perceptions of sex and relationships among young men. Dino Morea opens up on the unrealistic standards set by porn: “They wonder, ‘do I need to be like that to please a woman’?”
Speaking about the exposure to adult material at an early age, Dino shared, “The teenage years and the early 20s who get access to porn, because of the testosterone levels, excitement, curiosity about sex. They watch it at that impressionable age, right? Where, yeah, this is how it’s meant to be. To please a woman, you got to go on for that many, 45 minutes, an hour, etc.”
He further elaborated on the unrealistic standards such content creates for young men, adding, “And you got to be solid. Well, the fitness part is great. We all agree with that. You got to be fit. But some of the men over there are just, you know, super well endowed – Which for any youngster is thinking, ‘oh, do I need to be like that to please a woman’? So these are all psychologically affecting him without him even realizing it.”

Dino pointed out how these impressions often persist subconsciously, influencing one’s real-life experiences and confidence. “Unconsciously, he’s being affected by it. Yeah. And therefore, whenever they do get to indulge in sex, they want to be that person, because that’s their memory of it. And if by chance, the woman is not even, for whatever reason, half satisfied, even if the person is good. Yeah, that would probably play on their head even more than psychologically.”
Rohan Joshi chimed in, summing up the psychological toll such expectations can create, saying, “Yeah, it’s not just I didn’t satisfy her. It’s ‘I failed’.”
The discussion struck a chord with many online, highlighting how open conversations about sexual health, expectations, and self-worth are crucial in dismantling long-held taboos.
