Angel Reese has made her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut.
On Wednesday night, Reese made history as the first professional athlete to walk in the show.
Teasing the casting on Instagram last week, the 6’3″ WNBA star wrote, “Stepping into a dream … I’m finally getting my wings.”
And what a dream it was.
Reese walked down the lengthy catwalk wearing a lacy lingerie set adorned with several pink blossoms.
She also carried a voluminous pink tulle shawl adorned with flowers. Silver stiletto heels added inches to her already statuesque frame, making her the tallest of the evening’s earthly angels.
The basketball player wore another lacy pink lingerie set for her second walk down the runway, this time with a baby doll T-shirt with a cutout that revealed her bra.
Although she has significantly more experience on the basketball court, she carried her glittery angel wings with confidence up and down the lengthy pink runway.
In true supermodel fashion, she struck a few dynamic poses at the end of the runway before making her return.
The WNBA forward stood tall amongst some of the modeling industry’s greats. Tonight’s runway was filled with VS icons like Jasmine Tookes and Barbara Palvin, plus fellow first-timers Iris Law, Amelia Gray Hamlin, and Olympic gymnast Suni Lee.
The day before the show, she shared her excitement on Amazon Live, “I am so happy to be a Victoria’s Secret angel, it is a dream come true …. I am super, super excited … I am filled with joy. Am I nervous? No. Am I ready? Yes, because I know I worked for this moment.”
However, this isn’t Reese’s first step into the fashion industry’s spotlight. She made her Met Gala debut in May 2024, wearing a custom look from 16Arlington; that same month, she starred in a Good American campaign.
She returned to the Met Gala red carpet for a second time in May 2025, wearing Thom Browne for the event’s Superfine: Tailoring Black Style theme.
Here’s hoping that future campaign photos will also be a slam dunk. Until then, we’ll be replaying Reese’s Angel walk whenever we need a lift.
