Tina Ambani’s Bollywood Legacy
Before becoming a prominent philanthropist and businesswoman, Tina Ambani (Munim) was a leading actress in Bollywood during the late 1970s and 1980s. She made her debut opposite Dev Anand in Des Pardes (1978) and starred in a string of memorable films including Baaton Baaton Mein (1979), Karz (1980), Rocky (1981), Souten (1983), and Bade Dil Wala (1983).
Known for her expressive eyes, elegance, and natural acting style, Tina became one of the most popular heroines of her time. She stepped away from films in the early 1990s, with her last appearance being in Jigarwala (1991) opposite Anil Kapoor.
Life Beyond the Silver Screen
On 2 February 1991, Tina Munim married Anil Ambani, the younger son of Reliance Industries’ founder, the late Dhirubhai Ambani. The couple has two sons—Jai Anmol Ambani and Jai Anshul Ambani. Their elder son, Anmol, married Khrisha Shah in February 2022.
Today, Tina Ambani is known for her contributions to social causes and healthcare initiatives through the Harmony Foundation and Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.
