At an event in New Delhi late last week, Kangana asserted that her path to mainstream success was far more arduous because she came from “a village that nobody would have even heard of Bhamla.”

I was from a village that nobody would have even heard of Bhamla.” Kangana went on to explain her conviction, stating, “Maybe others may disagree, but I feel it’s because I am brutally honest, not just with people but with myself too.”

Her remarks sparked reactions across the film industry and social media, with many readers debating the fairness of comparing individual life stories. While Shah Rukh Khan is widely known to have grown up in Delhi and studied in a convent school, Kangana’s emphasis on her humble beginnings underscores her view of having overcome greater odds.
