Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, Rakul Preet Singh, Meezaan Jafri, director Anshul, producers Bhushan Kumar, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg attended the trailer launch of their film, De De Pyaar De 2, in Delhi-NCR. The event was held in Gurugram’s Devgn Cinex (erstwhile NY Cinemas), which is incidentally also run by Ajay Devgn. The team of the film talked about their film, what one can look forward to in the sequel and also spoke about other films.

Luv Ranjan was asked about the absence of Tabu, who played a crucial role in the first part, De De Pyaar De (2019). He replied, “If you have seen the first part, it shows Ashish (Ajay Devgn) taking Aisha (Rakul Preet Singh) to his home and introducing her to his family. Woh kahaani toh wahaan khatam ho gayi. The story of this film is that Aisha now takes Ashish to her city to introduce him to her family.”
Luv added, “Hopefully, if people like De De Pyaar 2, toh teesri film mein dono parivaar ko milaayenge!”
Meanwhile, there were hopes that an announcement promo of Ajay Devgn’s another exciting film, Drishyam 3, would be unveiled on October 2. The promo was passed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). As per reports, the makers of the Hindi version did not get permission to do so from the makers of the original Malayalam version, starring Mohanlal and directed by Jeethu Joseph.
When asked about it, Ajay Devgn confirmed, “It (Drishyam 3) will get launched in December. Once that film is launched, we’ll be able to talk about it.”
Meanwhile, a female journalist sang the song ‘Maine Pyaar Tumhi Se Kiya Hai’ from Ajay’s debut film, Phool Aur Kaante (1991). She asked if a sequel to it could be made. Ajay smiled and said, “If we get a good script for part 2, then we’ll definitely do it.”
De De Pyaar 2 releases in cinemas on November 14.
