    Andrew Garfield and Katie Couric Among Anthem Awards Finalists (Exclusive)

    Andrew Garfield and Sesame Workshop, Katie Couric and the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, the Clinton Global Initiative, Google, Headspace, IFC, MTV Entertainment Studios, Paramount Pictures, Spotify and The Daily Show are among the finalists for the 2025 Anthem Awards, The Hollywood Reporter can reveal exclusively.

    The Webby Awards-presented social impact trophies, now in their fifth year, celebrate people, companies and organizations whose mission-driven work is creating meaningful change worldwide. The Anthem Awards in particular have highlighted how this year’s finalists have an “unwavering commitment to progress and positive change” at a time when many nonprofits, advocacy groups and purpose-driven brands face challenges to their funding and missions.

    This year’s Anthem Award finalists were were selected from more than 2,000 submissions from 42 countries by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS).

    “In our fifth year of the Anthem Awards, we are celebrating and honoring the true changemakers that are pushing humanity forward, especially amid current challenges,” Anthem Awards general manager Patricia McLoughlin said in a statement. “This year’s cohort of finalists represents hope, compassion and inclusivity, and teaches us that when we come together with united action, we can truly make a difference.”

    Judges for the Anthem Awards include American Heart Association CEO Nancy Brown; Born This Way Foundation vp, content + brand, Mitu Yilma; Gates Foundation head of global media partnerships, Miguel Castro; Trovon Williams, senior vp, marketing and communications at the NAACP; Planned Parenthood vice president of brand, Lauren Garcimonde-Fisher; Erika Soto Lamb, vp, social impact strategy, Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios at Paramount; and TikTok for Good global lead Brett Peters.

    Anthem Award winners (in gold, silver and bronze categories determined by judges in the IADAS) will be announced on Tuesday, Nov. 18. Fans will be able to watch each winner’s “Call to Action Speech” in the Anthem winners gallery. The for-profit and nonprofit entries in each media type with the most support will win Anthem Community Voice Awards, voting for which runs online through Thursday, Oct. 30.
