Actor siblings, Alec Baldwin and Stephen Baldwin, were involved in a massive car crash on the afternoon of October 13, 2025, ET, in the Hamptons. No sooner did the report surface than the duo’s fans remained worried, thinking about their well-being. A source revealed to Page Six that Alec Baldwin was in the Hamptons for the Hamptons International Film Festival. Several photos surfaced from the location where the crash happened, showing extensive damage in the Range Rover, which the brother-duo was riding. Well, as the report left everyone worried, Alec now broke the silence about the massive crash that took place.
What caused the Hamptons car crash, in which Alec Baldwin and his brother, Stephen Baldwin, were involved?
Taking to his IG handle, Alec Baldwin shared a video, wherein he confirmed that he was in the car accident, and also revealed that both he and his brother are unharmed and are doing fine. In the same video, Alec Baldwin revealed what exactly happened that caused the collision of his wife, Hilaria Baldwin’s white Range Rover, with a massive tree.
Alec went on to add that a huge garbage truck, which he described as similar in size to a whale, cut him off while driving, and to avoid hitting it, he hit the tree, causing the collision. The actor shared that he feels bad about smashing up his wife, Hilaria’s white Range Rover, but everything is fine, along with his brother and him. Alec shared:
“This morning, I was in a car accident. I’m fine. To avoid hitting him, I hit a big fat tree and crushed my wife’s car. I crushed my wife’s car- I feel bad about that. That’s all fine, and I’m fine, and my brother’s fine. My wife’s car is pretty smashed up. Big tree, big fat tree.”

In the same video, Alec also shared that he was in the Hamptons because of the Hamptons International Film Festival. Earlier, sources revealed that Alec was there for a week and was attending films and moderating the panels. For the unversed, Alec is associated with the HIFF and is the co-chairman of its Board Executive Committee. He also expressed his gratitude for the East Hampton Police Department and mentioned that he would soon be in New York to meet his wife and their kids. In the same video, Alec praised his wife while talking about her elimination from Dancing With the Stars.

Along with Alec, his brother was also in the white Range Rover that they collided with a tree, causing massive damage to Hilaria Baldwin’s vehicle. Well, the good thing is they are both fine. While Alec talked to his fans and well-wishers through a video, Stephen’s representatives told E! that he was doing fine, and neither of them was injured. In a statement to the outlet, Stephen’s reps shared:
“Stephen is doing fine and is grateful no one was injured. He appreciates the concern and he can confirm that he and Alec are both safe and well.”
