Actor Salman Khan has publicly addressed accusations from filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap, who has repeatedly claimed that Khan and his family sabotaged his career in the Hindi film industry. The ongoing dispute, which has made headlines for months, was discussed by Salman Khan during a recent episode of ‘Bigg Boss 19’s’ Weekend Ka Vaar. The actor clarified that despite offering professional opportunities to Kashyap, these were declined, and the filmmaker has continued to criticise him and his family.

    Direct allegations from Abhinav Kashyap

Abhinav Kashyap, director of the 2010 film ‘Dabangg’, has been vocal about his fallout with the film’s team. His comments have gone beyond professional disagreements, with Kashyap making serious allegations against Salman Khan and his family. He stated, “My opinion on Salman Khan and his family stands. They are not normal human beings. They are proven criminals. He’s out on bail. He’s a convicted criminal, out on bail. A criminal is a criminal. There are things that even I know,” he told Bollywood Thikana earlier this year.

Salman Khan’s rebuttal on national television

Responding to these accusations, Salman Khan said, “Ek Dabbang insaan hai. Mere sath uhnhone Aamir ko bhi lapete mein le liya. Pichle weekend ke Vaar pe maine ek aise hi bola tha ke ‘Kaam karo yaar. Nobody’s interested’.”

“[He’s a fearless person. Along with me, he even pulled Aamir into it. During last weekend’s Weekend Ka Vaar, I casually said, ‘Do some work, yaar. Nobody’s interested].'”

He further questioned Kashyap’s actions, noting that repeated criticism of others in the industry could lead to further professional isolation.

    Salman Khan appeals for reflection

On the show, Salman Khan addressed the personal nature of Kashyap’s attacks, stating, “Mujhe baat buri sirf ek hee cheez lag rahi hai ki apne apne aap ko destroy kar diya. Agar kisike parivar ke peeche padhna hai toh khudke parivar ke peeche padho. Apne bhai ke peeche padho, usse pyar karlo, Maa Pita se pyar karlo, biwi bachho ka khayal rakh lo.”

“[The only thing that really bothers me is that he destroyed himself. If you want to go after someone’s family, then go after your own. Go after your brother, love him, love your parents, take care of your wife and kids].”

Offering advice to Kashyap, Salman Khan added, “I’m saying that they are worried about you. Agar koi apko ek advice deta hai ke bhai soch samajh ke bola karo, I want to see you grow, you are a talented man, achha likhta hai. Yeh gully mat jao. Wapas se aa jao highway pe.

“[If someone gives you advice saying, ‘Brother, think before you speak. I want to see you grow. You’re a talented man, you write well. Don’t go down this alley — come back to the highway].”

Khan emphasised that continued public criticism could make it difficult for Kashyap to find future collaborators in the industry.

While no other major industry figures have openly commented on the dispute, the matter continues to draw attention from both the public and the media. The strong language used in their statements has kept this controversy in the spotlight.
