CBS’s much-loved legal drama, Matlock, has officially returned with its second season, and fans are already hooked. What is the expected plot for Matlock Season 2?
The second season of Matlock picks up right from where Season 1 ended, with ‘Olympia’ finding out that ‘Matty’ had been deceiving her all along. The promising friendship between two strong women has now turned into a tense power struggle. ‘Matty’s plan to infiltrate the firm to uncover evidence about her daughter’s death in the opioid crisis has turned against her and left her isolated and vulnerable. Meanwhile, ‘Olympia’ faces her own moral dilemma as she tries to protect her ex-husband, ‘Julian’, who is responsible for hiding the crucial opioid documents that could have saved ‘Matty’s daughter.
Season 2 will become more interesting with the introduction of two new plotlines, including a paternity mystery and a high-stakes arson case. A man claiming to be the father of ‘Matty’s grandson, ‘Alfie,’ will throw her personal life into major chaos. On the other hand, the team’s new arson case involving two teenage girls will test everyone’s loyalty. If all this were not enough, the conflict stemming from the firm’s internal corruption will continue to uncover new secrets. It will include powerful figures like ‘Markston Senior’, ‘Julian’s father, and the head of the firm coming under the scanner.
