On Saturday, Hombale Films shared a couple of photos on Instagram featuring Rishab Shetty and Amitabh Bachchan together. One picture shows the two smiling at the camera, with Shetty dressed in a black shirt and traditional veshti.
The caption read, “Team Kantara Chapter 1 wishes the Shahenshah of Indian cinema, the legendary Amitabh Bachchan sir, a very happy birthday. Excited for the upcoming episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati. It was an absolute joy joining you!” In another photo, Rishab Shetty is seen presenting a gift to Amitabh Bachchan, with a caption that said, “Wishing the legendary Amitabh Bachchan sir a very happy birthday. Your journey, discipline, and dedication continue to inspire generations of artists and storytellers. May you be blessed with good health and boundless energy always.”
Rishab Shetty’s latest film, Kantara Chapter 1, is currently performing well at the box office. The movie serves as a prequel to his National Award-winning 2022 film Kantara. Released on October 2, Kantara Chapter 1 stars Jayaram, Rukmini Vasanth, and Gulshan Devaiah in important roles.
Speaking to news agency PTI about the film’s success, Rishab Shetty said, “When we see the audience reaction, especially in theatres, we feel thankful and grateful. We take it as a responsibility. This success is because of the whole team’s effort. Everyone contributed a lot to the film.”
Kantara Chapter 1 is a mythological drama set in pre-colonial Karnataka. The story revolves around the conflict between the tribals of the Kantara forest and a tyrannical king.
This special episode of KBC and the success of Kantara Chapter 1 highlight Rishab Shetty’s growing presence in Indian cinema, alongside Amitabh Bachchan’s continuing legacy as the iconic host of the popular quiz show.
