Recently, she appeared as a guest on her sister-in-law, Soha Ali Khan’s podcast, All About Her, and talked about various aspects of her personal life. Kareena opened up about her life as a parent, her bonding with her sons, Taimur and Jeh and recalled some fun incidents with them. She also revealed that Taimur has no knack for acting; instead, it was sportspersons that interested him.
Taimur wants Kareena Kapoor Khan to bring him Virat Kohli’s bat, asks for sportspersons’ numbers
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s elder son, Taimur Ali Khan, is a cricket fanatic. He is an avid follower of world-class sportstars like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Lionel Messi. During Kareena’s recent appearance on Soha Ali Khan’s podcast, she mentioned that Taimur asked her if she could give him the contact numbers of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma or Lionel Messi. Taimur also asked Kareena for a cricket bat from Virat or Rohit. Regarding her son’s interests in sports, Kareena said:
“The only thing he keeps asking is, Are you friendly with Rohit Sharma? Are you friendly with Virat Kohli? Can you message and ask him if I can get that bat of his? Is there a contact you have for Lionel Messi?’ I’m like, ‘No! I don’t know them!'”
The eight-year-old Taimur is aware that his parents are celebrities and might think they have access to all other celebrities around the world, including those in sports. The little one has received crazy media attention right from his birth and has become one of the Indian paparazzi’s favourites due to his cute gestures towards their cameras. Although he enjoys the limelight because of his actor parents, Taimur is not at all interested in the field, and sports have his heart.
Taimur doesn’t have any idea about acting and actors
Despite being the son of actors Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, Taimur Ali Khan has no interest in acting and has little knowledge of the film world. Both his parents have confirmed his disinterest in acting, with Kareena even noting that Taimur ‘has no clue’ about the big names of the field. He doesn’t even know about his uncle, Ranbir Kapoor or the Gen Z-favourite, Ranveer Singh. Kareena has at times tried to encourage him to participate in a school play and try acting, but Taimur didn’t want to.
She also clarified that she merely suggested it to her son but never forced him to act. She showed confidence in Taimur’s choices and said he ‘knows what he wants’. Whenever there was an opportunity to participate in any extracurricular activity, the little one always picked something other than acting, stating that he didn’t like it. Soha Ali Khan inquired if his dislike of the field was due to being around actors all the time. Kareena answered ‘no’ and explained that Taimur hasn’t met many actors and is too young to judge the field. She shared:
“You ask him [Taimur] about any actor, from Ranbir Kapoor to Ranveer Singh, and he has no clue. He isn’t even interested in music, he’s just interested in some Chelsea player right now.””
Taimur’s favourite activity with his father, Saif Ali Khan, is sports
Kareena revealed that Taimur enjoys indulging in sports with his father, Saif Ali Khan and enjoys their time together. Taimur is greatly influenced by Saif and even wants to join a cooking class because Saif likes to cook. Taimur might also have inherited his sports-enthusiastic side from the Pataudi lineage. For those unversed, Saif’s father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, was a distinguished Indian cricketer and is widely regarded as one of India’s greatest cricket captains.
