Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s legal battle
In December 2024, Blake Lively filed a case against her It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment on set and claiming that he initiated a campaign in order to sabotage her image and reputation. In her complaint, Blake accused Justin and producer, Jamey Heath of fostering a toxic work culture, that included distributing n**e videos and pictures of women. She also named PR specialist, Melissa Nathan and the production company, Wayfarer in her New York federal lawsuit.
In response, Justin sued The New York Times for libel, alleging that their coverage was done without any verification, and also filed a counter-suit against Blake and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, in January 2025, demanding USD 400 million for many reasons, including defamation. The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants star’s team called Justin’s claims an example of ‘DARVO’, which is Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim Offender. Earlier this year, in June 2025, a New York federal judge dismissed Justin’s USD 400 million counter-suit and his USD 250 million suit against The New York Times. The next hearing date has been scheduled for March 2026.
