Outside of acting, Ehrich is a singer-songwriter who has released several singles, including “Ride” and “Backroads.”

Before becoming known for soap operas, Ehrich appeared as a background dancer in High School Musical 3: Senior Year. He’s mentioned in past interviews that it was one of his first experiences on a major film set and inspired him to keep pursuing acting.
He also had a two episode arc on Shake It Up back in 2010 alongside Zendaya and Bella Thorne.
He Was Once Engaged to Demi Lovato
Ehrich first made headlines in 2020 when he began dating Lovato. Eagle-eyed followers first spotted flirty exchanges between the two on social media, sparking rumors that they were self-isolating together at the start of the pandemic. On March 24, 2020, Max shared Instagram Stories of himself snuggling with Demi’s dogs, Batman and Ella, and later went live on Instagram—only for Demi to accidentally walk into the frame. When she realized he was filming, she ran out of the shot laughing as Max quickly ended the livestream.
The chemistry between the two quickly turned into a whirlwind romance, and just four months later, Ehrich proposed. However, their engagement ended that September, only two months after the proposal. The split became public when Ehrich claimed he learned about it through tabloids rather than directly from Demi, which led to a media frenzy.

He’s Had High-Profile Relationships Beyond Demi Lovato
Before and after his engagement to Lovato, Ehrich was linked to other stars, including America’s Got Talent alum Sommer Ray and actress Veronica Dunne, whom he dated for several years.
