In a notable cultural exchange moment, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer visited Yash Raj Films (YRF) Studios in Mumbai, hosted by India’s leading film studio. During his visit, the iconic love song Tujhe Dekha To Ye Jana Sanam from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) was played, celebrating the timeless film’s 30th anniversary.

The UK and Yash Raj Films share a long-standing bond, with Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) being extensively filmed in London and across the United Kingdom strengthening its role as a cultural bridge between Indian cinema and British heritage.
Furthering this creative and cultural collaboration, YRF announced plans to strengthen its ties with the UK through a three-film production pact set to begin in 2026, promising a mix of cross-cultural storytelling and cinematic innovation.
In addition, YRF is producing an English-language stage adaptation of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge titled Come Fall In Love: The DDLJ Musical. The production embraces themes of inclusivity and love that transcend borders, presenting an ‘East meets West’ narrative that continues to resonate deeply with audiences worldwide, celebrating the timeless appeal of Indian cinema on a global stage.
