Punjabi singer, Rajvir Jawanda is no more. It was on October 8, 2025, when he passed away in a tragic bike accident. He was on life support in Fortis Hospital in Mohali. A bike trip to Shimla cost Rajvir his life. For the unversed, the late singer left behind his wife, Ashwinder Kaur and kids, Hemand Kaur and Dilawar Singh. His family was waiting for him to come back home, and a singer named, Gagan Kori shared how Rajvir’s daughter was waiting for his homecoming.
Singer, Gagan Kori, shares how his kids reacted to his demise news
According to a report by Filmibeat, the entire Punjabi film industry offered condolences to the family of Rajvir. Singer, Gagan, became emotional, stating how Rajvir’s kids reacted to his demise. He shared that his daughter was not aware of the same and was making a special gift for his homecoming. Rajvir’s son is too young to understand, but the news of his demise broke his daughter to pieces. Rajvir’s son reportedly became curious to see everyone at his home.
Rajvir Jawanda had one unfulfilled wish with his family
Not much is known about Rajvir’s wife, Ashwinder or about their love story. She is a private lady and does not like to be in the limelight. She had always supported her husband, two kids, and, for Rajvir, his family was his source of strength. According to a report by One India Hindi, Rajvir wanted to travel to Shimla with his family and friends. The source told the media outlet:
“Rajvir ki patni hamesha unki saath rahi, tour, recording ya film shoot, har kadam pe support. Vo do chhote baccho ke pita hai, beti Hemant Kaur aur beta Dilawar Singh. Rajvir hamesha kehta tha, ‘meri taakat meri family hai.”
How did Rajvir Jawanda meet his ill fate?
Rajvir was taken to Fortis Hospital in Mohali in a critical state after sustaining head and spinal injuries in a bike accident. There were reports stating that the accident happened due to 2 bulls fighting on the road, and the singer could not press the emergency brake, which caused fractures to his neck, spine and irreparable head injuries. However, earlier, an eyewitness had narrated the entire incident of how Rajvir was not overspeeding, and the accident happened due to 2 bulls fighting. Rajvir received the best medical attention and the team did start treating him for his injuries. However, despite being placed on life support, there was no improvement in his health, and after 11 days, he passed away due to multiple organ failure. The news shocked his sea of fans and followers.
Rajvir Jawanda’s funeral took place at his village in Punjab
A report by Filmibeat revealed that Rajvir’s funeral took place in Pona village, located in the Jagraon area of Ludhiana district. Reportedly, this was also the place where the late singer had set his first stage. Singer, Ammy Virk had earlier shared details related to his funeral on his social media feed. The Punjabi music community has been crying, while his fans have continuously paid tribute to Rajvir. For Rajvir, his native village was very important in his life. His wife reportedly had pleaded with him not to do the bike ride on the day he met his ill fate, but he assured her that he would come back soon.
