Actor Huma Qureshi is set to be back as Rani Bharti with season 4 of her political drama series ‘Maharani.’ The trailer, released on Thursday, signals a significant shift as Rani sets her sights beyond Bihar and steps into the national political arena.
‘Maharani’ draws on the upheavals in Bihar politics. The new trailer suggests Rani will now be taking on the Prime Minister (played by Vipin Sharma) for Bihar’s growth. As she is challenged by Sharma’s character, Huma, as Rani, talks about capturing the throne in Delhi.
In the series, Rani began her journey as a homemaker before being swept into politics after her husband, Bihar’s Chief Minister, suddenly resigned.
Across the seasons, viewers saw Rani evolve from a newcomer to a strategic political figure. Now, the series promises to show her facing even greater challenges as she enters the national stage.
Huma Qureshi spoke about season 4 of ‘Maharani’ and expressed, “Rani Bharti’s journey has always been about defying the odds, but this season, her ambition hits a whole new level. Directed by Puneet Prakash, the series is produced by Kangra Talkies Pvt. Ltd and concept by Subhash Kapoor. The cast also features Shweta Basu Prasad, Vipin Sharma, Amit Sial, Vineet Kumar, Shardul Bharadwaj, Kani Kusruti, and Pramod Pathak.
