Farrah Abraham’s daughter, Sophia, got her first tattoo.
The 16-year-old debuted the new ink — three massive bats on either side of her stomach — in an Instagram video Wednesday.
The mother-daughter duo — who found fame on MTV’s “16 and Pregnant” when Abraham was pregnant with Sophia at the age of 16 — first teased their followers by suggesting that Sophia might be expecting.
“I have a surprise for you guys,” read the text above the video, which began with the teen looking worried while holding her belly.
A woman was then heard screaming, “Oh, my God!” as Abraham mouthed along.
Sophia then lifted her shirt to unveil the fresh ink. The words “I got my first tattoo!!” flashed across the screen.
Abraham leaned forward to peek at the artwork and laughed in apparent relief that she was not about to become a grandma at the age of 34.
The video polarized fans — with some praising the “Teen Mom” star for letting her daughter express herself however she wants, and others arguing that the teen is too young for permanent body modifications.
“I understand a child being free to do whatever they want and express themselves but there’s always a time when things should be done,” one critic commented.
“At that age is too young no matter if the parent approves it. Rules need to be set……maybe I’m old school but that’s how I think.”
Someone else accused Abraham of being “more [of] a friend than a mom.”
However, one fan noted, “I love how she’s literally completely opposite from you and you don’t treat her any different because of it,” with another echoing, “I honestly love Farrah for Accepting her daughter for exactly who she wants to be. And supporting her 100%.”
While Abraham has not yet responded to the criticism, she did previously defend her decision to gift Sophia multiple facial piercings for her 14th birthday.
