She’s got that good girl faith and a tight little Miu Miu skirt — five of them, in fact.
Taylor Swift has been spotted in an array of pleated tartan miniskirts by the Italian fashion house over the past two years, trotting them out for dinner dates and everyday outings all over the world.
On Tuesday night, the newly engaged pop superstar, 35, was photographed grabbing dinner at The Eighty Six in New York City’s West Village wearing a camel-and-black plaid version ($2,350) with gold buttons and front patch pockets paired with a black turtleneck and Jennifer Chamandi knee-high boots ($1,550).
It’s an outfit formula we’ve seen before — so many times, in fact, that you could call it the reliable foundation of her autumn wardrobe.
While the “Actually Romantic” singer owns a variety of plaid minis (some by relatively affordable labels like Rails and Ramy Brook), Miu Miu’s four-figure styles seem to be her go-tos.
At the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards in March, she virtually accepted her Tour of the Century award wearing the same camel mini with a black long-sleeve top and a Cartier watch. The outfit sparked speculation about “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” thanks to her snake necklace — though, as we now know, she had other plans up her sleeve (namely, her twelfth studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”)
Last December, Swift visited Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., wearing a green plaid iteration of the pleated miniskirt ($2,350) with a matching button-up shirt. The coordinating set was such a hit with one teenage patient named Naya — who called the outfit “tea” — that Swift later gifted her the entire $4,500 ensemble as a Christmas surprise.
“When you asked where I got it, I kept it a secret because I had a plan,” Swift wrote in a handwritten note accompanying the gift. “Picked up a few things I hope you think are tea.”
The “Wildest Dreams” chart-topper also owns an older (and now sold-out) Miu Miu style in several colorways. She wore a belted light brown version to a February 2024 dinner in Sydney, Australia, with tour opener Sabrina Carpenter, pairing it with a black House of CB corset top.
The skirt first made an appearance in late 2023, when the singer was photographed on several occasions wearing the skirt in two other patterns, each a subtly different plaid.
For one outing, she paired the checked skirt with a shearling Gant coat and red Reformation boots; for another, she opted for over-the-knee Stella McCartney stilettos and a jacket by The Row.
It’s safe to say that when the singer finds a silhouette she loves, she’s all in — and the Italian label has clearly earned a permanent place in her closet.
