Gene Simmons was hospitalized Tuesday after getting into a car accident.

The legendary KISS rocker was driving on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, Calif., before 1 p.m. PT, when his Lincoln Navigator hit a parked vehicle, police told a local NBC outlet Wednesday.

When the authorities arrived on the scene, Simmons, 76, was still conscious and spoke to the officers, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department also told the outlet.

Page Six has reached out to the department for further information but did not immediately hear back.

The “Rock and Roll All Nite” vocalist reportedly told law enforcement that he “passed out or fainted” before his car struck another vehicle. He allegedly careened across lanes of traffic moments before the accident.

Page Six has reached out to reps for Simmons and his family for comment.

Following the accident, the musician’s wife, Shannon Tweed, told NBC that her husband was taken to a hospital for further evaluation.

She shared that doctors learned that new medications Simmons had been prescribed required him to increase his water intake — and he is reportedly “not a fan” of drinking a lot of water.

Tweed also told the outlet that the “I Was Made for Lovin’ You” singer has already been released from the hospital and is “recovering at home.” Simmons also shared via voicemail that he is doing fine.

The rock legend’s health scare comes on the heels of his former bandmate also becoming ill.

KISS co-founder and guitarist Ace Frehley announced Monday that he was canceling the remaining dates of his 2025 tour due to ongoing “medical issues.”

“Due to some ongoing medical issues, Ace has made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of his 2025 dates,” his Instagram account stated.

Frehley, 74, created KISS along with Simmons, Paul Stanley and Peter Criss in 1973 and remained with the award-winning band until 1982. KISS embarked on a farewell tour in 2018 but didn’t take their official final bow until their End of the Road World Tour in 2023.
