In the event, the latter asked the former for a photo. During that time, both were in relationships. Zach was dating Deb Peifer, and Brianna was romancing Joey. In the same month, on May 31, 2023, the country singer announced his split with Deb Peifer on X (formerly Twitter). He called it mutual and asked fans to respect their privacy for the time being.
A few weeks later, on June 23, 2023, the BFFs podcaster attended Zach’s concert at Forest Hills Stadium in New York City, where fans recorded her singing along on stage. Throughout this period, the duo had sparked dating rumours. Brianna claimed that she and Zach didn’t exchange any words that night, and it was the country singer who later messaged her on Instagram. Brianna confessed that she had no idea about the following thing and is taking a short break from social media.

On November 7, 2024, Brianna opened up about her breakup with Zach in an episode of the BFFs Podcast. She claimed that the country singer emotionally abused her. She mentioned that the past year had been the hardest of her life, expressing that she was still scared of him, and the fear persisted. The podcaster also alleged that Zach had asked her to sign an NDA, offering USD 12 million and a New York apartment in exchange for staying silent about their toxic relationship. In her words:
“The last year of my life has been the hardest year of my life dealing with the abuse from this dude. I’m still scared right now because I’m scared of him. My brain’s rewired and I’m scared to make him mad.”

In the next month, on December 12, 2024, Brianna sat for an interview with Alix Earle on her Hot Mess podcast and shared some unheard details about her split with the country singer, Zach. The BFFs podcaster was asked who initiated the breakup. In response, Brianna said that their split was a bit ‘weird’ and added that people assumed that Zach dumped her. She claimed that the country singer had to announce the breakup because she had caught him using the dating app, Raya.
In the same podcast, Brianna mentioned that the night before their split, they had a heated argument, following which the Grammy Award-winning singer left for Oklahoma. Meanwhile, she also discovered Zach’s infidelity through the Raya platform. Multiple girls started sending proofs to the PlanBri UnCut podcast host through direct messages. She expressed that cheating seemed to be a normal thing to her and thus didn’t react much. Brianne also mentioned that if she had known earlier that Zach was cheating on her, it would have been easier for her to come out of that relationship.
Further in the podcast, she highlighted some points that she had earlier shared in her BFFs podcast. She called her relationship with Zach ‘the darkest couple of months of my life.’ She shared how the country singer isolated her, keeping her on a tour bus where she was not allowed to do her own things. She added how Zach mentally harassed her. In her words:
“I couldn’t do anything. I stopped doing my career. He wanted me to quit Barstool. I couldn’t talk to my family about it because I wasn’t home. So I was just in this bubble… like it was a revolving door of thoughts.”
