Vivo launched the V60e in India today. The camera-centric latest V-series phone bags a 200-megapixel main shooter and puts it on a sleek chassis. This chassis is rated IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance while also packing a massive 6,500mAh battery inside it. It does, however, come with Funtouch OS software and not the latest OriginOS 16, which is slated for a global release on October 15. The Vivo V60e starts at Rs 29,999 with general availability pegged for October 10.

The V60e is positioned for those seeking a blend of advanced photography and daily practicality. Its 200-megapixel camera and substantial battery make it a strong contender in the upper-mid-range segment.

The main highlight, as you can tell, is the 200-megapixel “ultra-clear” main camera, using a 1/1.56-inch sensor, f/1.88 aperture, and optical image stabilisation. Like other recent V-series phones, it has a multi-focal portrait system that offers 85mm close-up, 50mm classic, 23mm wide, and 35mm street-style modes. The rear camera supports 4K video. On the front, it has a 50-megapixel “eye AF group selfie” camera, also with 4K video support.

You get a bunch of “India-exclusive” AI features on this phone, including AI Festival Portrait, which adds festive-themed enhancements, and AI Four-Season Portrait for seasonal effects. India’s Wedding Style Studio provides LUTs and frames for wedding photography, while the Wedding Vlog feature creates social-ready videos automatically. Tools like AI Reflection Erase and AI Enhance support further photo editing.

Durability is emphasised with IP68 and IP69 certifications, allowing submersion up to 1.5 metres for 120 minutes and strong dust resistance. Diamond Shield Glass offers four times the drop resistance of previous models, Vivo claims. The device features a 6.77-inch quad-curved AMOLED display, measures 7.49mm and weighs 190 grams.

Performance-wise, the V60e pairs a 6500mAh battery with 90W fast charging, reaching 50 percent charge in 27 minutes. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo Processor, with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

For productivity, the V60e includes Gemini Assistant, offering AI Captions, Smart Call Assistant, Note Assist, and Transcript Assist. It runs Funtouch OS 15 (Android 15) with a promise of 3 years of Android updates and 5 years of security updates. Origin OS is not present on this model yet.

The Vivo V60e is priced at Rs 29,999 (8GB/128GB), Rs 31,999 (8GB/256GB), and Rs 33,999 (12GB/256GB). Sales begin October 10 on Vivo’s website, Flipkart, Amazon, and retail stores. Pre-booking is available now, with various bank offers, EMI plans, and bundled deals for online and offline buyers.
