Right after Swift’s 2024 endorsement of the now-viral Fazit product, the brand experienced an over-1,000-percent increase in sales and web traffic overnight, according to Fazit cofounder Aliett Buttelman’s interview with WWD for a previous story. “Urban Outfitters sold out… and now, every retailer is reaching out to us,” Buttelman said.
This is colloquially referred to as the “Taylor Swift effect,” which has also catapulted to fame AAPI- and women-owned jewelry brands the celebrity has championed in the past.
