    Taylor Swift Sparks Search Interest in Nars Lipstick

    Taylor Swift can now add “makeup influencer” to her repertoire of talents after the highly anticipated Friday drop of her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” was met with an uptick in interest surrounding one product in particular: Nars Cosmetics Original Lipstick in shade Morocco. Search for the makeup “more than doubled,” according to Google data, catapulting “Taylor Swift lipstick” to the top of the trends leaderboard in the process.

    Swift has been known to favor a palette of red lipsticks over the years, but she often goes back to the matte, terracotta shade by Nars, most notably at her fiancé Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs games, according to her makeup artist Lorrie Turk. Priced at $26, the long-lasting color boasts a lightweight formula that promises to not feather, pill or bleed. Online, the brand alludes to the lipstick’s connection to Swift, writing, “Shade Morocco has a big reputation. Let sparks fly with the trending shade that never goes out of style.”

    Perhaps if Turk hadn’t taken to her Instagram story last year to reveal the Nars lipstick in Swift’s rotation, her fans would be spiking search interest in a few of her other known favorites, including MAC’s Ruby Woo, Nars’ Dragon Girl, Pat McGrath Labs’ Elson 4 and Chanel’s Pirate.

    Aside from her signature red lip, the “Fifteen” singer is also an avid fan of a makeup product used north of her lips: the Glitter Freckle Makeup Patches by Fazit. Swift wore the temporary tattoo freckles to a Kansas City Chiefs game in October 2024 and subsequently sent the internet into a frenzy over the glittering face accents. As a result, the brand saw a 3,500 percent increase in sales and totaled seven figures in 48 hours. A year later, Swift is still loving the gold freckles. In fact, she’s seen wearing the Gold Glitter Freckle Makeup Patches in her most recent Instagram post sharing a behind-the-scenes look at the recording of “The Life of a Showgirl.”
