In the October 6 children’s special episode, Purav Bhattacharyya from Kolkata, West Bengal, earned a place in the hot seat after winning the Fastest Finger First round among fellow young contestants.

During a light-hearted chat with host Amitabh Bachchan, Purav humorously referred to him as “Bhoot Uncle.” Responding with a smile, Bachchan said, “I had played a role in Bhootnath, but I am not a ghost.” Purav quickly replied, “Yes, you are,” sparking laughter on set.

The fun exchange referred to Bhootnath, the 2008 family-friendly film in which Amitabh Bachchan played a friendly ghost. Directed by Vivek Sharma, the film also starred Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, and Aman Siddiqui.

As the quiz progressed, Purav impressed both the audience and Amitabh Bachchan with his sharp answers, correctly responding to 10 questions. However, he faced difficulty on the 11th question, which was worth ₹7.5 lakh. He used the Audience Poll lifeline, but unfortunately, the majority’s choice turned out to be incorrect. The 11th question was: “Which of these elephant teeth elongates to form ivory?” options were: A. Molar, B. Premolar, C. Canine, D. Incisor, the audience chose C. Canine, but the correct answer was D. Incisor. An elephant’s tusks, commonly known as ivory, are actually elongated upper incisors. These tusks, made primarily of dentine—a dense, bony tissue—grow throughout the elephant’s life. They are used for various purposes such as digging, stripping bark from trees, lifting objects, and self-defense. Although Purav didn’t make it past the ₹7.5 lakh question, he took home ₹5 lakh as prize money and won hearts with his charm and intelligence.

As Amitabh Bachchan’s 83rd birthday approaches on October 11, the children on set gave a special performance to celebrate the veteran actor, adding a heartfelt touch to the episode.
