The incident sparked a lot of intense speculation online, especially after it was revealed that the car belonged to the 19-year-old Romantic Homicide singer, D4vd. At the same time, it was not reported stolen. Is D4vd innocent in the Celeste Rivas death case?
According to a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), D4vd has not been named a suspect in the ongoing investigation. Amid this, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office is still working on finding out the cause or manner of Rivas’ death. Until then, the investigators cannot classify the case as a homicide. According to Rolling Stone, the LAPD, in their statement on the latest update in the case, said:
“The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not yet determined the cause or manner of Ms. Rivas Hernandez’s death. As such, it remains unclear whether there is any criminal culpability beyond the concealment of her body.”
Meanwhile, police sources have clarified that they have not named D4vd as a suspect in the case due to the lack of conclusive evidence. They are not yet able to establish any direct link between him and Celeste’s death. Although the Tesla was registered in his name, there’s no proof that the singer was involved in or aware of the incident. For those unaware, the car was reportedly towed from D4vd’s residence in Hollywood Hills. However, the investigators have not found any indication that he used the vehicle around the time Celeste went missing. A search was conducted at his Hollywood Hills residence, and the LAPD has collected digital devices, but no evidence has been found against him.
