Taylor Swift is already releasing new versions of eight songs from The Life of a Showgirl.
The Grammy winner shared the news on Instagram, revealing that she recorded “acoustic/unplugged versions” of various tracks from her new album, available across four limited CD releases. Each individual CD is equipped with two re-recordings, and they are all themed differently.
“File this under ‘save your best for the finale’… I think my favorite moments from the tour were the acoustic surprises. So I went back into the studio with Max and Shellback to record acoustic/unplugged versions of a few of the Showgirl songs with brand new vocals and production!” she wrote on Instagram Saturday. “Cannot WAIT for you to hear.”
The four CD releases are available for purchase on Swift’s site for 24 hours, featuring new artwork as well.
The Life of a Showgirl, which released Friday, has already set multiple records. On Friday, not even 12 hours after the album dropped, Spotify confirmed the project earned the most single-day streams on the platform in 2025 so far.
Apple Music also revealed The Life of a Showgirl holds the most single-day streams for a record this year, while Amazon Music said the record is its most-streamed album of all time for a single day.
To celebrate the album’s release, Swift debuted a special theatrical release with The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, which notably dominated the Oct. 3-5 box office.
