In a recent interaction with Kids Stop Press, Akshay explained, “Eating at 6.30 pm is the most important thing for your body because when we sleep at night, our eyes are resting, legs are resting, our hands are resting, every part of our body is resting, but what is not resting is your stomach because we have eaten food late.”
The actor went on to add that when people eat late dinners, the digestive system doesn’t get enough rest, which eventually leads to health issues. “By the time you get up, it’s time for him to relax, but when we get up, we eat our breakfast and again the poor stomach is working. The stomach — all the diseases come from there. If you take care of your stomach the most, I think the diseases won’t come near you,” he explained.
Akshay, who is known for maintaining a ‘no alcohol, no late nights’ lifestyle, also spoke about how his profession often demands unpredictable schedules. Despite that, he ensures his meals are never delayed. “I am an actor and sometimes I shoot till 9 am, but my food comes to me till 6 pm. Eating at 6.30 pm is the most important thing for your body because what is the point of earning so much money if I don’t take care of my health? I think health is the biggest wealth,” he said.
The Khiladi star, who is now 58, credits his longevity and energy to this simple yet consistent discipline.
