In an interview with MSNBC, a Jewish American marketing professor, Scott Galloway, called out Western countries, especially the United States, over its “double standard.”
Galloway stressed how after 9/11, when America responded with massive force, nobody questioned its right to win. However, Israel, after Oct 7, is held to a different standard.
He also explained different standards that were invented for Jews in Israel, which do not apply to the United States and other Western countries.
“There’s just a different standard for Jews in Israel when it comes to prosecuting a war, they’re allowed to fight back to a truce, but unlike America or any other Western nation that is attacked this viciously, they’re not allowed to win a war. It’s a double standard,” Scott Galloway asserted.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defended the Israeli military action targeting Hamas officials in Qatar’s capital, Doha, drawing parallels to the United States’ response to the 9/11 attacks.
However, during his recent visit to the White House just days ago, the Israeli leader sat alongside Donald Trump, dialled Qatar and issued an apology for the attack as the US President looked on while holding the phone.
Trump’s fresh warning came after a breakthrough reported in the Gaza ceasefire deal, with Hamas responding to a peace plan from the US President. The group agreed to the proposal, which includes freeing Israeli hostages and handing over the administration of Gaza to Palestinian independence.
