Boney Kapoor and his late first wife, Mona Shourie’s daughter, Anshula Kapoor is all set to get married soon. It was back in July 2025 when her longtime beau, Rohan Thakkar, proposed marriage to her in a dreamy setup, and now the Kapoor family hosted a Gor Dhana ceremony for the soon-to-be bride. Anshula took to her IG handle and shared glimpses from the ceremony, which were filled with love, laughter and happy tears. Anshula certainly missed her mom, Mona Shourie, as she is all set to step up in her personal life, and it was her sweet gesture for her late mom which melted our hearts.

Taking to her IG handle, a while ago, Anshula Kapoor dropped several photos from her special day. In one of the photos, Anshula looked the prettiest in a purple-toned lehenga, which she teamed with a matching choli and dupatta. Her dress for her Gor Dhana ceremony was from Arphita Mehta, and Anshula looked like an angel. She teamed her look with gorgeous makeup and braided hair. Rohan, on the other hand, looked handsome in a black-toned sherwani. The duo exuded pure happiness as they posed together.

In her long caption with the special photos, Anshula Kapoor bared her heart out, and her words reflected how much she missed her mom, Mona Shourie. She mentioned in the caption that she felt her mom’s presence around them, in the flowers, in her words, and in the seat she had saved for her. Anshula’s post featured a photo that offered a special glimpse of her holding a chair, atop which Mona Shourie’s photo was displayed, while the chair was covered with her saree. This sweet gesture proved how much the family missed Mona and that they felt her presence around them.
For the uninitiated, Mona was 18 years old when she married Boney Kapoor in 1983. The couple was deeply in love, and they welcomed two children, Arjun and Anshula, into their lives. Eventually, Boney and Mona’s relationship faded, and his affair with Sridevi led to the end of his marriage to Mona in 1996. According to Boney, Mona was the one who bought him and Sridevi’s wedding rings, as he never kept her in the dark. Well, cut to now, Mona and Sridevi both have passed away, and the family of five is now close to each other. Mentioning that her mom’s presence can still be felt everywhere, Anshula wrote:
“And then, Ma’s love…quietly wrapping itself around us. In her flowers, in her words, in her seat, in the way her presence could still be felt everywhere.”

Earlier, speculations were rife that Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor would skip Anshula and Rohan’s engagement, which eventually raised eyebrows. Well, Anshula put an end to the buzz, as she recently shared photos from the ceremony, and Khushi and Janhvi were very much there. They looked gorgeous in ethnic outfits, and they looked delighted while posing with their sister and to-be-jiju.
