Recently, the Jalebi actress, who once faced public scrutiny and legal hurdles, recently shared an emotional update that marks a turning point in her life.
Rhea Chakraborty gets back her passport
Rhea Chakraborty’s passport was first seized in September 2020, after her arrest by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) during the probe linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. After years of investigation, the Bombay High Court gave her a clean chit and on September 30, 2025, the court asked the NCB to return her passport.
On October 3, 2025, Rhea Chakraborty took to her Instagram handle to share the good news with her fans that she has finally received her passport. To share her happiness, she posted a photo of her passport her caption can be read as:
“Patience was my only passport for the past 5 years. Countless battles. Endless hope. Today, I hold my passport again. Ready for my Chapter2! Satyameva Jayate.”
Fans and fellow celebrities celebrate Rhea Chakraborty’s happiness
As soon as the Half Girlfriend actress, Rhea, shared her happiness of getting her passport back, a lot of fans and celebrities celebrated her happiness and excitement. Actress, Fatima Sana Sheikh and influencer, Elvish Yadav commented, “Finally.” Orry wrote, “Congratulations sweet sweet child. Now go to the moon!!!!!!!!!!”
Apart from celebrities, one fan penned, “Truly happy for you. Wishing you the clean, well-deserved fresh start you deserve.” Another fan shared, “I apologise on behalf of my country. I am sorry for what you had to endure & still are bearing with.” A third fan commented, “Patience won. Truth won. YOU won congrats R. So happy for you.”

In mid-2025, Rhea got funding of Rs. 1 crore from Kishore and Ashni Biyani on her recently started podcast.
