Simply the best new dance music of the week.
Fred again.. With Amyl and the Sniffers
Theo Batterham
This week in dance music: Cercle announced that they’re producing a one-night-only DJ set with Tame Impala in Mexico City in conjunction with the band’s new dance influenced album Deadbeat. Lee Burridge reflected on his early days in the scene in this exclusive clip from his forthcoming documentary Sound of a Dream, which premieres at London’s Doc’n Roll Film Festival on Oct. 25, and Skepta and Hannah Laing were announced among the long list of speakers who will be at ADE in Amsterdam later this month.
Meanwhile, Okeechobee announced its return after a three year hiatus with headliners Griz, T-Pain, The Lumineers, Griz and Fisher, Burning Man announced its 2026 theme, and Sylvan Esso pulled their catalog from Spotify, saying that “While no solution is perfect, we simply can’t continue to put our life’s work in a store that, in addition to all its other glaring flaws, directly funds war machines. Reaching towards the world we all deserve, even though we are not in it yet.”
We caught up with rising star Jigitz, our dance rookie of the month for September, we ran down the 50 best house songs of all time and we chatted with Tinashe and Disco Lines about their global smash “No Broke Boys.”
Is that all? Not even close. These are the best new dance projects of the week.

}Chris Lake extends a bananas run that includes his debut album Chemistry in June and last weeks’ Disclosure and Levon Kali collab “one2three” with “La Noche.” Made with Skrillex and Anita B Queen, an Argentine artist of South Korean descent who here delivers straight fierceness, the tech house track manages to be menacing and fun at once as it bumps with the exact right kind of raunch. The release is also the first from Skrillex since his April album F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! .

}Stars collide on “The Nightlife,” a pair-up between Honey Dijon and Chloë Bailey. The result is a predictably sumptuous and totally cool R&B-infused house heater that glides along on Bailey’s rich vocals. The pair will double down on the effort when they release a video for “The Nightlife” on Oct. 9.

}The buzz around Kettama is major, and today the Irish producer continues making good on the hype with his debut album, Archangel. The 15-track album is as fresh and sophisticated is it danceable, featuring a cavalcade of collaborators including Interplanetary Criminal, Fred again.., Prospa and seantommy. The producer himself writes that its release is the “most surreal feeling” and that he “couldn’t have done it without the support from everybody over the last while. feels like an mfs 18th birthday ngl… thank you all for being with me along the journey.” His October/November Europe and North American tour behind the album is entirely sold out.

}Six years after the release of his debut album, Audien is back with its followup First Love, a collection he says “helped me through the last few years of my life. It’s wild to create something that ends up healing you in the process. This album is a love letter to everyone who’s stuck with me and to my first love, dance music. I’d be nothing without you.” Featuring vocalists including Skylar Grey, Shallou and Julia Church, the 12-track album maintains the same heartfelt uplift that longtime fans of the producer will recognize and appreciate.
