Keith Urban sang to his utility player — and rising country music star — Maggie Baugh in a flirty onstage moment before his and Nicole Kidman’s breakup.
During the singer’s April 1st performance at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Urban belted out his 2016 hit “The Fighter” — inspired by his early romance with Kidman — alongside Baugh, per a video obtained by TMZ.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that when he sang, “I was born to love you,” he pointed and glanced directly at the guitarist.
The 25-year-old then scooped her microphone and sang beside Urban, 57. Once the song was over, the two shared a sweet hug as the audience cheered.
Although the moment went unnoticed at the time, it raised eyebrows after he recently changed the lyrics in the same song to name-drop Baugh.
In an Instagram video uploaded on Sunday by Baugh herself, Urban sang, “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie I’ll be your guitar player,” instead of “When they’re tryna get to you, baby I’ll be the fighter.”
The “Stupid Boy” singer explained back in 2017 that he wrote the song “very quick[ly]” because he “literally just thought about Nic … and [their] relationship at the beginning and some of the things [they’d] said.”
Urban’s interactions with Baugh have been going viral after he and Kidman split.
On Monday, Page Six confirmed that the two had called it quits on their 19-year marriage and had been living in separate homes since June.
By Tuesday, the “Big Little Lies” actress filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences and requesting primary custody of their two daughters: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
That same day, TMZ reported that rumors are swirling “all over Nashville” that the country singer has moved on “with another woman.”
An insider alleged, “Let’s just say, Nicole doesn’t dispute that, but she’s still shocked over it.”
Since then, sources told People that the Oscar-winning actress didn’t feel as supported in her career by her husband as she supported him.
Another source told us that the “Babygirl” actress, 58, is “sad [but] moving on with her life.”
Before tying the knot with Urban in 2006, Kidman was married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001.
