Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja, one of Bollywood’s most loved couples, are reportedly expecting their second child. The couple, who became parents to their son Vayu Kapoor Ahuja in 2022, are said to be preparing for their next chapter in parenthood.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, a source close to the family confirmed, “Sonam is in the second trimester of her pregnancy, and the news has brought immense joy to both families.” While an official announcement has not yet been made, the couple is expected to share the happy news with fans soon.
Sonam and Anand tied the knot on May 8, 2018, in a star-studded ceremony in Mumbai. After four years of marriage, they welcomed their first child, Vayu, on August 20, 2022. Since then, the couple has often shared heartwarming glimpses of their life as new parents on social media. Recently, they celebrated seven years of togetherness, posting unseen moments from their wedding and early days together.

In a recent interview with The Times of India, Sonam reflected on her journey as a new mother. She shared, “I became a mother and wanted to give it as much time as possible – so that I could witness the process of seeing my son grow up. I wanted to enjoy the feeling of being a mother, and it has been the most rewarding experience of my life.”
Since Vayu’s birth, Sonam has taken a step back from acting to focus on her family. Her last film, Blind, streamed on JioCinema, and marked her most recent appearance on screen. However, she confirmed that she is now preparing to return to work. Speaking about her comeback, she said: “Now, I will be back to doing what I love doing – acting. I’m being drawn to disruptive subjects that allow me to shine. I have always tried to pick projects with the girl at the heart of the story, and that vision hasn’t changed. I want to do projects where the role of the woman is layered and not unidimensional.” Sonam added that her next project is expected to begin filming in the last quarter of 2025.
