Prince William couldn’t help but get emotional as he reflected on his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.

In a preview clip for an upcoming episode of Apple TV+’s “The Reluctant Traveler,” the Prince of Wales describes how his Windsor home reminds him of the matriarch while in conversation with host Eugene Levy.

“Do you miss your grandmother?” Levy asks William while sitting in the grand castle in the teaser, per Hello Magazine.

“I do actually, yeah. I do miss my grandmother and my grandfather,” William answers, referring to the Queen and her husband, Prince Philip, who died in April 2021.

“It’s been quite a bit of change, so you do sort of — you think about them not being here anymore and particularly being in Windsor, for me Windsor is her,” Prince William, 43, continues, reflecting on the former monarch, who died in 2022 at age 96.

“She loved it here; she spent most of her time here. Showing you around today is very much a case of trying to make sure I’m doing it in the way she’d want you to see it.”

“She had her horses here as well, as you can imagine was a big deal for her, so that’s why she loved it here,” the Prince of Wales adds in the episode, titled “Living the Royal Life in the U.K.”

Prior to her death, the queen notably showed her favoritism for Windsor Castle, opting to spend much of her final years there. She is buried at St. George’s Chapel, which is located within the castle’s grounds.

William relocated with his wife, Kate Middleton, and their three children — George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7 — from London to Adelaide Cottage near Windsor in 2022.

Though, the family of five may not be there much longer as they recently announced they’ll be moving into their new family home “later this year.”

William and his brood will be transitioning into their “forever home,” an eight-bedroom property called Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park.

A source claimed the couple was in need of a “fresh start” after facing a tough year with Princess Kate’s 2024 cancer diagnosis. AP

“Windsor has become their home,” a source told the Sun in August, explaining why William and Middleton, 43, chose to stay in the area.

“Moving gives them an opportunity for a fresh start and a new chapter; an opportunity to leave some of the more unhappy memories behind,” the insider continued.

The family was reportedly in need of some change after facing their “hardest” year in 2024 with Middleton’s cancer diagnosis.
