Bigg Boss 19 is filled with a lot of new controversies and drama. One of the names making headlines is Kunickaa Sadanand, and her revelations about her past. She left everyone stunned when she announced her relationship with famous singer Kumar Sanu and shared that they were living together. Now, she recalled her intense custody battle.
Kunickaa Sadanand revealed her legal battle with her ex-husband over her son’s custody
Recently, Kunickaa Sadanand recalled her marriage with Abhay Kothari that ended in an ugly divorce, followed by an intense legal battle for their son. Kunickaa was 20 years old when she got married to Abhay. While speaking with co-contestant Farhana Bhatt, Kunickaa recalled her early struggles. She shared that she had a tough custody battle. She fought for 9 years to get the legal custody of her son. She was working in Mumbai and would rush to the Delhi court.
However, one day, Kunickaa stated that her son told her to give up as his studies would be affected if they kept fighting for custody in court. After which, she stated that she won’t fight the custody battle for her son. Kunickaa was quoted as saying:
“Mai 9 saal apne bete ke liye ladi. Yaha kamaati thi Bombay mein, fir bhaag gayi Delhi court. Fir usne mujhe ek din bola ‘Mumma, please aap dono me se koi toh give up karo, warna meri padhai ek dum kharab hojayegi’ Tab maine bola ki mai nahi ladungi.”
When Kunickaa Sadanand’s son, Ayaan opened up about her relationship
Earlier, in an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Kunickaa Sadanand’s son, Ayaan, revealed that his mother had boyfriends while he was having girlfriends. He stated that his mother has dated men after her divorce from his father, who stays in the US. He admitted that several men entered his mother’s life. While some of them were great husband material, others were amazing as father types. However, nothing worked out for her, and she left on good terms.
Ayaan further revealed that there is a misconception going on that Kuncikaa has been in a relationship with Kumar Sanu for 27 years. However, what she actually said was that she was 27 years old when she fell in love with Kumar Sanu. Ayan wasn’t born at that time, and he learnt about her affair with him a lot later in life.
Ayaan revealed that he found out about his mother’s affair after he noticed that she would often sing his songs at home all the time. He added that his mother adored him as a singer, and she still sings his songs. He was quoted as saying:
“When I noticed that she was singing his songs at home all day. I’m just kidding. But she actually adores him as a singer. She still sings his songs. People are saying that the affair lasted 27 years, but what she actually said was that she was 27 years old when it happened. It lasted a few years, and she had me when she was 35.”
