US President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced his administration had struck a deal with Harvard University after months of negotiations, saying the elite institution would pay $500 million and set up trade schools focused on artificial intelligence.
“I guess we reached a deal with Harvard today, so we’ll see how that — all you have to do is paper it right, Linda,” Trump told Education Secretary Linda McMahon during an executive order signing in the Oval Office.
This is a developing story. It will be updated.
