Ralph Lauren has finally found a spot in London, revealing plans to open The Polo Bar Ralph Lauren in London in 2028 at 1 Hanover Square.
Lauren has been looking for years for a location to open a Polo Bar in the British capital, and even has considered opening a hotel there. But he could never find a site suitable enough — until now.
And it’s not just any site, but has an appropriate history attached: 1 Hanover Square was formerly called Vogue House and was the home of Condé Nast U.K. for 75 years until it moved out in late 2023. The entire area has since been redeveloped around the opening of the Elizabeth line station there.
Today, Ralph Lauren has five restaurants — in New York, Paris, Chicago, Milan and Chengdu, China, as well as more than 40 Ralph’s Coffee locations around the world. The Polo Bar restaurant is known for its clubby atmosphere featuring an Americana-themed decor with leather banquettes, wood-paneled walls, and equestrian-themed artwork. While each of Ralph Lauren’s restaurant locations has a unique personality, they are complementary to one another.
Building on the international acclaim of The Polo Bar Ralph Lauren, which opened in New York in 2015 and quickly became a widely celebrated and in-demand restaurant, the London location will showcase the brand’s signature charm and elegance.
The Polo Bar’s menu in New York, for example, features American classics such as The Polo Bar Burger, Ralph’s Corned Beef Sandwich, prime filet mignon, New York strip steak, lobster roll, and pigs in a blanket. Ralph’s in Paris also serves such classics as Ralph’s Burger, prime filet mignon, Dover sole, seared sea bass and mini-lobster rolls. RL Chicago’s menu features the RL Burger, Chilean sea bass, veggie burger, Dover sole, lamb chops, mini-lobster rolls and pigs in a blanket.

The Polo Bar Ralph Lauren builds on the company’s significant and long-standing presence in the United Kingdom, spanning more than 40 years. London is home to Ralph Lauren’s first international flagship on New Bond Street that opened in 1981. Today, the company operates 12 stores in London, Ralph’s Coffee locations in New Bond Street and Brompton Cross, and sells its products in leading luxury wholesale doors.
